Laboratory

The XMol – Support and Training Center in Molecular Biology aimed at knowledge generation and optimization of the products sold by Biometrix. The laboratory is constantly training and qualifying the professionals, always seeking innovation and development. It values the excellence of its technical procedures, the quality of its products and, more important, the continuous improvement in customer support.

With an excellent infra-structure, the XMol intends to continue the technological advances and pass them to the customer´s laboratories through demonstrations, training and workshops. It has different types of trainings, according to the necessity of each laboratory and the complexity of each product.

Structure

The XMol has a well structured laboratory, according to the standards of health surveillance and follows the strict rules for Molecular Biology laboratories. Presently, it has three pre-PCR areas, formed by an acid nucleic isolation room, an assembly PCR room and a reagent preparation room. It also has two post-PCR rooms. Both areas pre and post-PCR have the hall of garment in accordance to the standards. This structure allows the laboratory to run two to three simultaneous trainings.

The laboratory was carefully developed to offer an ideal model for the participants, showing that we always follow the rules for biosafety. It is equipped with the most modern molecular biology equipments, according to each methodology needed.

Consulting

The XMol is formed by a team of high qualified professionals of different fields. These professionals are constantly improving their knowledge, aiming to keep our clients updated always. In addition to the laboratory routines, they also work on the solution of problems and elucidation of queries. They often provide training to the Biometrix Diagnóstica employees.

The XMol also provides consulting services for commercial laboratories and is available to meet the external demands.

Training

Every training is offered with a theoretical and practical content, which may involve a simple product demonstration or even a two-weeks training. If the two-weeks training is the case, it is held in two periods: during the first week is given the methodology training and the practical and theoretical details are discussed. During the second week, the START training is given, which consists by initial tests, on customer´s laboratory. There is also the Re-Training mode, which is given whenever requested by a client.

We have conference room with all the audiovisual resources, and smaller rooms for individual training.
